In business for more than 83 years, M.L. McDonald has grown from its modest beginnings as a small family business, into one of the nation’s top providers of union commercial and industrial painting-related services. The original M. L. McDonald family was known for their work as upscale church restoration painters. Under the current owners, the company has 40 employees in the office and between 150 and 300 people in the field, depending on seasonal fluctuations. Our company’s client base includes all of New England, with its main focus on the metropolitan Boston area.

M. L. McDonald is proud to have a safety program that is overseen by Len Bianchi, our full time on-site safety officer, who has been with the company for the last 24 years.

The M. L. McDonald Company, along with Len, require the following: all employees participate in a 10 hour OSHA course and training for aerial lifts, scaffolding, pulmonary function test (PFT) and respirator along with CPR certification and weekly tool box reports.

This, combined with regular inspections on jobsites, has won the M.L. McDonald Sales Company, Inc. awards and recognition with the Painting & Finishing Employers Association of New England, Associated General Contractors of MA and the Boston Research Center just to name a few.
